The Boston Symphony

Penny came to this concert.
I had never heard live before such a huge symphony orchestra. Two harps. Eight French horns. Six timpani drums etc. They played Gustav Mahler's sixth symphony. A rousing performance with the orchestra and the conductor Andris Nelsons. It is probably one of the less known of Mahler's symphonies. This maybe for two reasons - less of a theme throughout and its length - one and a half hours with four movements. It was an unforgettable performance in a huge concert hall.
