Several friends had recommended this museum as a must see. Part is under reconstruction and will not be completed till 2020. However the open part is an extraordinary collection of antiquities from across Mesopotamia dating back as far as 1400 years BC. If I was an orientalist or archeologist I would wish to spend a lot of time here and at the Neues (new) museum.
