The Holocaust Memorial for Germany

On the surface is the Field of Stelae. Below ground is an "information area" which is a very dramatic display with audio guide. I did not previously realize how extensive and how many extermination camps there were throughout Europe - particularly in Poland.
What was not mentioned is the fact that before the Nazis started murdering Jews in large numbers they also murdered many Russians.
In Berlin there are two other memorials. These are the Memorial to the Sinti and Roma of Europe murdered under the National Socialist regime and the  Memorial to the Homosexuals persecuted under the National Socialist Regime.
